DIY Inspiration: Festive Birthday Cards

Birthday Card Craft Outside the Box Papers

After becoming inspired one day, the Outside the Box Papers' ladies decided to create something a bit festive and fun using our line of vintage paper straws

With some scrapbooking supplies and a snip of the scissors our fun, 3-D birthday card was born! What's great about this inspiration is that there are so many different themes and directions to go in, we created the quintessential birthday look using primary colors and the like … but you can always go with a bit more couture style with a black and white spread or something with an ombre look!

DIY Inspiration: Mini Easter Baskets

DIY Easter Paper Crafts Outside the Box Papers

Whether you're hosting the neighborhood Easter egg hunt or just want to surprise your own kiddos with a special little treat, why not use some of our candy cups and create miniature Easter baskets!?With a sliver of washi tape or scrapbook paper you can transform these cups into baskets in a blink of an eye. And then, jazz them up with any embellishments you'd like.

From scraps of tulle to buttons, all you need is a bit of glue to make this happen! You don't even have to be a veteran crafter, the most novice of us DIYers can create these!

Here's what to do:

Choose your handle and start cutting. Make sure you get the slivers small enough to compliment our little candy cups. Then use some hot glue or crafters glue to attach it! *You could even go as far as laminating the paper you've chosen for a fresher, more pristine look.

Then, it's time to get creative and add your embellishments. We chose to adorn our baskets with mini tulle bows, but you could also use stickers, glitter or hot glue some small buttons on too!

DIY: Funky Wall Art With Wrapping Paper

Outside the Box Papers Wrapping Paper DIY Project

I'm a paper lover. I'm a greeting card lover. I love stationery. I love gift wrap. I love stickers and tags. Basically, I'm the ultimate paper product lover. My name is Grace and although you can find me most of the time on my blog Her Umbrella, I also like to chat and giggle a lot here on behalf of the wonderful Kim and Julie of Outside the Box Papers.

The ladies were kind enough to send me a sample package of goodies so I could get a feel for the products in person and do some of my own playing and crafting. When I got my own bit of OTBP wrapping paper I knew that I had to not only use it for it's literal purpose but create something a bit more unique with it. This Vintage Paper Set was just what I needed to finally put this frame I got on sale at Home Goods to use!

All I did was choose the piece I wanted to use.

Then, I lined it up with the frame and added a bit of my own flair.

Now, we have a special bit of something extra to use in our guest room thanks to OTBP goodies!

Wrappin' Up With Our Wrapping Paper!

It could be someone's birthday, a thank you gift or just a for fun, "I'm thinking of you" present; whatever the case may be, part of a gift is how it's wrapped. Tied with a ribbon, topped with a bow, we're big advocates of creative displays and finishing off your neighbor's present with sass and style. That's why our unique, printed wrapping paper is one of our favorite products! Take a look at our four sets as we guide you through some unique ideas that aren't just for gift-giving!

Vintage Wrapping Paper

With a vintage flair and newsprint style, this black and white wrapping paper set has one of my personal favorite sheets in the mix: musical notes! Wrap up your father's birthday gift in the stripes or cover an old frame with the traveler's stamps as a fun DIY project. This pack is for those that love unique and inspired spirits.

Antique Wrapping Paper Set

A bit more whimsical than the first set, we love this antique, black and white paper just as much. With a more delicate, feminine flair, this paper is perfect for your teen's graduation gifts or a fun decoupaging project with you and your gal pals to try!

Pastel Print Wrapping Paper

O, the fun you will have with this assortment of goodies. The presents will pop or your craft room will have a new arrangement of ingredients for the most perfect new creative project. How adorable will your little's ones first birthday presents be dressed with some of these imaginative and playful prints?

Vintage Wrapping Paper

A bit more subtle and simple in design, this paper is perfect for mixing and matching with more vibrant and colorful styles. Use them as book covers or the foundation to an amazing housewarming or bridal shower gift with its old-age spirit and homey vibes.
